Quirl was a cloud based photo management product conceptualized by Canvera. Unfortunately, we could not compete with photo management giants like Google, Dropbox and the likes. It was strong product which died before it could meet its right audience.

Quirl lets you manage and organize your photos into albums, by time & by adding favorites. It has a secure backup of your personal photos, which can be accessed from any device and shared with your friends & family privately.
 

My Role 

I worked on the interaction & visual design of its web application. I collaboratoed with another designer and engineers for development of the web app. I worked with the CEO and CTO to understand the user needs and learn their requirements.

Problem

As photography became easier, we all have faced the problem of overload of photos. It is a problem to manage them, share them, keep them secure and to remember the memories overtime. Quirl was trying to solve this problem.

As we learned about the problem, we realized that this problem was more prominent with parents. In an attempt to capture every moment with their little ones, they capture many pictures but are unable to manage them, find them and share them with their friends and family.
